The Elbe Philharmonic: Hamburg's new icon
Located in the port city of Hamburg in Germany, the Elbe Philharmonic is not just a concert hall. This infrastructure combines visual majesty with exceptional functionality to become one of the greatest landmarks built by Hochtief and the greatest symbol of Hamburg.
With a capacity of 2,200 spectators, it is one of the largest and most acoustically advanced concert halls in the world. A project that could not have been realized had it not been for Hochtief's digital and innovation leadership. This architectural jewel enjoys a privileged position on the banks of the Elbe and blends in with its surroundings thanks to a futuristic design that gives it a unique appearance. The structure rises above the river through a glass ridge that evokes the image of a raised sail, a sea wave or an iceberg. This design reflects the modernity of the infrastructure, but also reflects its relationship to the port essence of the city.
